The project was started as an initiative to encourage people to build Historic MOCs, and is very popular.

Historica & The Four Guilds
The lands of Historica know four Guilds, having their territory's in the four directions of the wind. These four guilds are:
- Mitgardia, in the North
- Kaliphlin, in the South.
- Nocturnus, in the East.
- Avalonia, in the West.
Varlyrio, the Fifth guild.
